Committed to a
sustainable future

At Henson Franklyn, sustainability has long been at the heart of our operations. We’re proving that meaningful change comes from small, consistent actions over time, and made it our mission to reduce our environmental impact at every opportunity. With each step forward, we move closer to becoming a zero-carbon company.

Our vision is simple
to create a sustainable and resilient organisation that uses best practices to minimise our environmental footprint. We believe that protecting the environment is integral to running a responsible business.

Sustainability
Objectives

1

Energy Efficiency

We aim to reduce our energy use by 10% over the next five years through smarter technologies and energy- saving initiatives.

2

Resource Conservation

By promoting the responsible use of materials and water, we’re working to reduce waste and conserve valuable resources.

3

Sustainable Supply Chain

We’re committed to sourcing all our raw materials, products and services from sustainable suppliers.

4

Emissions Reduction

We are striving to cut transportation-related emissions by 25%, and we are constantly exploring new ways to reduce our overall carbon footprint.

We’re committed
We don’t just talk about sustainability—we act on it. Our Sustainability Action Plan leads the way:

Reducing waste

Our goal is zero landfill. We’ve enhanced our recycling programs and are partnering with suppliers to reduce packaging waste, ensuring that materials are reused or repurposed wherever possible.

Energy efficiency

We’re continually upgrading our entire site to energy-efficient lighting, appliances, and systems, and educating our team on how to reduce energy consumption in both the office and at home.

Sustainable procurement

We carefully select suppliers who share our values. By prioritising those with strong environmental credentials, we ensure that our products and services are sourced responsibly.

Supporting low-carbon transportation

We’re reducing the environmental impact of travel by exploring electric vehicle options for our fleet and encouraging cycling. All our current vehicles are Euro 6 compliant.

Engaging with our stakeholders

Sustainability is a shared responsibility. We regularly engage with our employees, suppliers, and partners to gather feedback, improve strategies, and align with best practices. Through collaboration, we’re able to continually raise the bar and set new standards.

Monitoring our progress

We track our sustainability efforts using key performance indicators and regularly report on our progress. We’re also working towards ISO 140001 accreditation, a globally recognised standard for environmental management.

Achievements to date
Here’s how we’re making a real impact…

Solar panels provide heat and light to our headquarters.

We’ve planted 5,000 trees and 10 km of hedging around our Lincolnshire site to encourage biodiversity.

We use blankets instead of single-use bubble wrap for packing and load efficiency.
Low-voltage LED lighting is used across our site.
0% of our manufacturing waste goes to landfill.
We use composite recycled boarding for sustainable construction.
Our vehicle fleet is regularly renewed and meets Euro 6 compliance.
Waste is sent to energy-from- waste facilities, generating power for the national grid.

We only use printer inks with UL GREENGUARD Gold certification.

We partner with local hauliers to minimize the use of empty vehicles.
Eliminated the use of harmful sprays, glues, and paints.
Forklifts are fitted with grass tires to reduce environmental impact on site.
Standardised exhibition components enable reuse across projects.
We prioritise environmentally friendly materials.
Fitout teams are locally accommodated to reduce commuting emissions.
We enhance product integrity by engineering components for durability and reuse.
We use aluminium matrix systems, because they’re reusable and easily recycled.
Site-wide recycling bins ensure efficient waste sorting and disposal.

“At Henson Franklyn, we believe in continuous improvement. As sustainability trends evolve, so will our strategies. We are committed to staying at the forefront of innovation and reducing our environmental impact for the long term.

Join us on our journey towards a more sustainable future. Together, we can make a difference.”
