We were delighted to be appointed to design and build the 2022 Commonwealth Games Volunteer Selection Centre. Our strong track record in delivering these installations and the ability to creatively use the space with extreme care, made us the perfect partner to produce exactly what the organising committee needed.

The goal was to design and fit-out two floors of the iconic Library of Birmingham. With over 25,000 candidates passing through its doors, it was crucial the structure and fabric of this amazing building was not compromised or damaged in anyway.
The selection process consisted of a 90-minute experience, where each candidate was led through an impressive series of displays and interactives, before watching a film in a purpose-built cinema. Culminating in a 30-minute interview in a separate break-out space with individual booths.
This was a fantastic project and a real privilege to work on. Its success was down to a great team, a brilliant client with a phenomenal brief.
The customer centric, solution orientated team at Henson Franklyn ensured we were able to not just overcome challenges, but also create and deliver an exceptionally high experience for our volunteers. I cannot speak high enough what Jonny and his team accomplished and how they epitomised being a true partner throughout our collaboration.
