For many, January is a bit of a lull month. Following the spectacular production that is Christmas and New Year, the twinkles are now a distant memory, and things can feel a little beige. For some, it’s a month of quiet reflection and resolution, and for others, it’s a month of Netflix and biscuit binging. NOT SO, however for the team here at Henson Franklyn!
2020 has so far shimmied, shone, razzled and dazzled! From working with the world’s leading equestrian show – BETA International 2020 – in Birmingham, including a gala dinner AND sponsoring an award, to working with MUSTO at ISPO Munich, the world’s most influential trade fair for sports business, and MORE – January certainly kept us on our toes.
ISPO Munich ‘20
From January 26–29, 2020 more than 2,800 exhibitors showed off their latest sports products from divisions such as Snowsports, Outdoor, Health & Fitness, Urban and Team sports at the Messe München exhibition grounds. Working alongside the iconic British label, MUSTO, we helped deliver their current campaign to thousands of eager spectators.

This epic production is the go-to-trade show for buying, boosting industry knowledge and making business connections in the equine world.
Featuring exhibitors from three dynamic sectors – equestrian, country and pet, plus a myriad of exciting products, concepts and innovations, this show is the jewel of the equestrian industry’s crown; literally, Princess Anne was in attendance this year.
Henson Franklyn joined the trade fair’s fellow supporters, Equestrian Trade News, Shires Equestrian, NAF, Stubbs England, Toggi, VetSpec and main sponsor Neue Schule, sponsoring the BETA International’s exhibitor bags for the fourth year in a row.
BETA International organiser Claire Thomas stated: “We are extremely pleased that Tim has agreed to continue the sponsorship for another year and would like to thank him and his team for their support. Putting on the show is a huge undertaking and sponsorship such as this is greatly appreciated.”
Far from being a one-trick pony of a month, we found ourselves flexing our production and design skills at The Running Show, working for Running Imp, an independent business local to us, in Lincoln. We also worked our magic at London’s iconic Alexandra Palace for Snookers Dafabet Masters, a professional non-ranking snooker tournament which took place between 12 and 19 January 2020.
We additionally found ourselves at EAG, The Entertainment, Attractions & Gaming International Expo 2020, an unmissable trade show for the leisure industry. Here we created a pub-style set up for gaming company Reflex Gaming. Not to mention, the Six Nations launch, the National Breakfast and Lunch Awards (yum), The Manchester Dog Show, and Scotland’s Specialty Food Show. Phew! With such a turbo-charged inauguration to the year – we can’t wait to see what the rest has in store!
