2018 all wrapped up!

2018 all wrapped up!

We’ve had another very busy and successful year in 2018 and have enjoyed working with each of our customers, who have presented us with an exciting and diverse range of requirements.

Many one-off highlights stand out alongside the regular spectacular work we do every year for our loyal and regular customers delivering important projects throughout the season.

We were very proud to have played a major part in the delivery of the Award-Winning Hospitality at Queens Club Championships 2018. The ‘Activation Zone’ that we created for Enterprise Rent -a- Car at the EUROPA league final in Lyon, France provided its own unique and fulfilling challenges, which we enjoyed immensely!

Launching Musto and Helly Hansen’s 2019 clothing ranges in both Sweden and Scotland provided us with an insight into remarkable attention to detail across all facets of a manufacturer’s operation, whilst Toshiba improved our vision at the Hockey World Cup.

Regulars such as the Guinness Surge Bar, which we delivered for The Autumn Internationals and Natwest Six Nations Championship at Twickenham, HSBC’s temporary Court 20 at Wimbledon, Mitsubishi at Badminton and Land Rover at Burghley all ran together providing us with an excellent 2018 year. Thank you to all of our customers old and new!

We are expanding in many areas

Practically, significant investment has been made in our warehousing and working yard areas of the business in order to enhance and improve the way projects are managed here at our premises and ultimately delivery on-site. Working environment infrastructure projects and construction of further loading bays and covered storage facilities have been completed to support our operational delivery.

For those that work indoors, we have already completed dramatic changes to our offices to ensure a new look working environment for our team, making it altogether a quieter and more organised working space.

Enhancing our customer experience

We assume that as more products become instantly available across the retail sector, our customers expect a more time efficient service from us. Significant thinking, planning and now the implementation of new processes control software will be rolled out throughout 2019. This will keep our customers informed and eventually allow them access into our system so they can see their project moving through the necessary steps towards delivery.

Key elements of our new system will include the integration of client portals, sharable task sheets, detailed timelines and accurate stock control. We hope to create a fluid and enjoyable experience for our customers, which delivers full transparency and ensures our customer service is not only efficient but also enjoyable. We look forward to hearing about your experiences with this new system later in the year.

Responding to Health and Safety issues in our industry

Health and safety continues to provide implementation challenges within our industry, which often does not fit ‘the norm’ resulting in venues imposing differing levels of ‘statute’ to their own events.

To help us navigate the complex journey this can sometimes throw up for us we have enlisted the support of leading industry-specific Health & Safety experts. Their role will be to advise on all specialist projects moving forward. Furthermore, and most importantly they will be involved from the design stage, removing potential pitfalls before we have gone so far down the line with production and planning process

Key members of our team will be undergoing IOSH and SMSTS training as well as enlisting onto SSIP to further enhance the health and safety expertise of our own staff.

Exciting new services launching soon

We are always seeking to enhance our product offering and we are working towards the provision of our first interactive Mapboard in 2019. Although still in the development stage these will provide the user with the ability to send the information they want to their own device whilst they are at an event, ensuring they gain maximum enjoyment and witness all aspects of the show that they have come to see.

Noting that ongoing implementation costs are a key factor for many projects, we are developing our own structural system for the delivery of exhibitions into the outdoor tented space. Pop-Up stands work well for indoor environments but often do not transfer across to the outdoor world as well – our system will enable customers with more restricted budgets to enjoy the full bespoke build for a fraction of the ongoing implementation costs.

An exciting year ahead…

2019 will see the team returning to many of our major events, global sporting and social occasions in their own rights, and we look forward to the challenge and the satisfaction of delivering a great job for our clients in the many spheres of our operation.

Alongside the key events we will be undertaking indoor stand builds for regular customers and have already taken on two new customers in this area. Showroom and shop fit outs will continue for our regular customers and we are always happy to look at new opportunities in these areas.

We will, as always, remain dedicated to all our customers and look forward to commencing work with our new clients too. We take great pride in delivering on your individual projects, both big and small.

Here’s to another successful year, we can’t wait!
